Call for Applications: TIDE 2.0 EiR and MVP Grants for the FY 2024-25

 

The NewGen IEDC Business Innovation and Incubation Centre at the University of Kashmir is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) and MVP Grant programs under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) sponsored Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0 scheme, which aims to foster innovation and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India.

Applications are invited from young and aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative ICT-enabled tech ideas in the following domains: Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion (including digital payments), Infrastructure and Transportation, Environment, and Clean Energy.

Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Program - Applications Open!

The EiR program under TIDE 2.0 is designed to nurture aspiring student entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary resources to transform their innovative ideas into viable business ventures. If you are working on emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, Blockchain, Robotics, and more, this program is for you.

Program Benefits:

- Monthly Fellowship: Receive up to Rs 30,000 per month to support the validation and development of your idea to the Proof of Concept (PoC) stage.

  - Infrastructure Access: Avail the incubation space and high speed internet facilities at NewGen IEDC.

- Mentorship: Benefit from personalized guidance and mentorship from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.

- Industrial Connections: Gain exposure to a network of industry leaders, potential investors, and collaborators.

- Additional Opportunities: Access to various other programs and events at NewGen IEDC to further your entrepreneurial journey.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen with valid proof of nationality (e.g., passport, voter ID).

- Education: Graduates in Sciences, Engineering, Biotech, Medicine, etc., are eligible. Final-year students can apply if they are not seeking jobs.

- Employment Status: Applicants should not be currently employed or have any income from other sources.

- Idea/Prototype: Applicants must have an innovative idea or prototype ready.

- ICT-Enabled Solution: The solution should be ICT-enabled and address a significant problem in one of the specified domains.

- Commitment: The applicant must be willing to pursue the idea full-time.

- Startup Registration: The recipient should be a founder of a startup/company registered under DPIIT or be ready to register within 3 months of EiR acceptance.

TIDE MVP Grant - Applications Open!

The TIDE 2.0 MVP Grant is aimed at supporting startups with a proven Proof of Concept (PoC) in domains of national importance. If your startup is aligned with sectors such as Green Technology, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Infrastructure and Transportation, Environment, and Clean Tech, this grant is for you.

Program Benefits:

- Grant Funding: Up to Rs 7 lakhs to support the translation of your PoC to a market-ready Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and beyond.

- Infrastructure Access: Full access to NewGen IEDC’s advanced facilities.

- Physical Incubation: Incubation of your startup on-site at NewGen IEDC.

- Mentorship: Guidance from leading industrial experts to help you navigate challenges and scale your startup.

- Network Opportunities: Connect with a broad network of industry leaders, investors, and other key stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen with valid proof of nationality (e.g., passport, voter ID).

- Education: The applicant must have completed graduation in Basic Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Medicine, Law, etc.

- Employment Status: Applicants should not be currently employed or have any income from any such source.

- Startup Status: Applicants can be individual innovators or part of a nascent startup (less than 2 years old).

- Company Incorporation: Applicants must be willing to incorporate a company within 3 months of accepting the TIDE 2.0 Grant if not already a startup.

Application Process:

1. Visit the NewGen IEDC Website: Navigate to our official site and find the application forms for EiR Fellowships and MVP Startup Grants.

2. Submit Your Application: Complete the application form with all necessary details and submit it online.

3. Submit hard copy of the downloaded application form along with the relevant documents.

3. Internal Review: Our team will conduct an initial review of all applications.

4. Shortlisting: Shortlisted applicants/startups will be notified.

5. Presentation: Shortlisted candidates will present their ideas to the selection committee.

6. Announcement: Successful fellows/grantees will be announced and on boarded into the programs.
