Call for Applications: MeitY's TIDE 2.0 EiR and MVP Grants 

NewGen IEDC Business Innovation and Incubation Centre, University of Kashmir invites applications from young and aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of ICT-enabled tech entrepreneurship in the Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion including digital payments, Infrastructure and transportation, Environment and clean tech, clean energy domains for the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) and MVP Grant programs sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) under Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0” Scheme.

**EiR Program - Applications Open!**

The EiR program under Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0 provides incubators with the necessary resources to support startups engaged in using emerging technologies like IoT, AI, Blockchain, Robotics, and more. As a participant in the EiR program, you will enjoy the following offerings:

  • Fellowship support of up to INR 4 Lakhs - For validation and development of an idea to the Proof of Concept (PoC).
  • Access to NewGen IEDC infrastructure
  • Mentorship support.
  • Exposure to industrial connections and investors
  • Opportunities for other programs at NewGen IEDC

**Eligibility

  • Applicant should be an Indian citizen having a government approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter’s id etc..
  • Graduates in Sciences, Engineering, Biotech, Medicine, etc., eligible to apply. Final-year students can be considered if not seeking jobs.
  • Individual/team should have an idea/prototype.
  • The solution should be ICT enabled serving a pressing problem across any of the above mentioned domains.
  • The candidate or at least one member from the team should be willing to pursue the idea full time.
  • The recipient should be a founder of start-up/company registered under DPIIT (OR ready to register within 3 months of EIR acceptance).

**TIDE MVP Grant - Applications Open!**

The TIDE 2.0 Grant is designed to support startups with relevant proof of concept in domains of national concern comprising of Green Technology, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion including Digital Payments, Infrastructure and Transportation, Environment and Clean Tech and Clean Energy. If your startup aligns with any of these domains, you are eligible to apply for the TIDE MVP Grant. Here's what we have to offer:

  • Grant of up to 7 lakhs - For translation of Proof of Concept (PoC) to Product and beyond.
  • Access to NewGen IEDC infrastructure
  • Incubation of the startup in the physical mode at NewGen IEDC.
  • Mentorship from leading industrial experts.

**Eligibility

  • The applicant innovator should be citizen of India having a government approved proof of nationality such as a valid passport, voter’s id etc.
  • The applicant must have completed the basic graduation in Basic Sciences/ Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Medicine/ Law etc. as on the date of accepting Grant.
  • The applicant is currently not employed and has no income from any source.
  • The applicant may be individual innovator or a nascent startup (less than 2 years old as on the date of application)
  • The applicant (if not a startup) must be willing to incorporate a company within 3 months of the acceptance of TIDE 2.0 Grant.

The application process for the TIDE 2.0 EiR Program and MVP Grant includes the following steps:

STEP 1: Visit the NewGen IEDC website and submit your application.

STEP 2: Internal review of applications.

STEP 3: Shortlisting of the applicants/startups

STEP 4: Presentation to the selection committee

STEP 5: Announcement of the fellowships/grantees
